When the sensor and your phone are not within Bluetooth range, you will not be able to receive the current temperature from the sensor. When this is the case, the MedAngel sensor saves the temperature data and transmits it to the app as soon as the sensor and phone are connected again. You can then view the timeline to see what happened during your absence.
If the temperature stops updating please try the following:
1. First try to restart your phone.
2. Then open the app, have the MedAngel sensor close by and wait a few minutes.
3. If it still does not reconnect, please send us a bug report using the 'Send Feedback' option in the app's side menu and let us know about the issue!
If you are in Bluetooth range and your temperature updates are suddenly not working anymore, it might be due to your phone's battery settings.
Your phone will automatically prevent apps from running in the background to optimize battery. Whenever you turn the screen of your phone off, it will send most apps into inactive mode. In order for MedAngel to work properly, to always show the latest temperature readings, and to give timely alarms, you should allow the app to run in the background in your battery settings. That way, the app will still keep running, even though the screen is turned off, and MedAngel can continue working in the background. Here's how to do that:
Go to your phone's battery settings and select 'Don't Optimize' for the MedAngelONE app under 'Battery Optimization'. On some phones, you might want to select the MedAngelONE app as a 'Protected App', or turn off 'Restrict Background Activity'.
